On a ten gear bike made of pure hard rock he surfs the streets in yellow shorts and a short sleeved t-shirt to match. Blond hair down to his shoulders, pimples on his face, he is armed with a sweatband that exudes confidence and removes all obstacles in his path. Vanderbuyst take us through this midnight city run with hard guitars, hard drumming, hard vocals, hard bass, a hard cover of UFO’s “Rock Bottom” and hard hand clapping. The band’s debut is a very enjoyable homage to the late 1970’s with a pint of The Hellacopters thrown in for good measure. Solid rock with great guitar work and a solo in “To Last Forever” that kills with scorpions. LINKS: VANDERBUYST // VÁN RECORDS
